The Meaning Of Life

Hey everyone, it's been a long time since i have last posted but this is one of the posts that i had to share with you.    Do you ever just sit back and think that if life had been different? If you had been someone else and would have led a more prosperous and tension-free life? I have been there too and while thinking about that, i questioned myself, what is the benifit?    We all take birth, we all die and nobody gains anything out of it. If according to the people, "God" created us then can please anyone explain it to me, Why?       If he created us then he must have a purpose and i don't seem to be completing any task that he has given us. Why did he create us? What does he get out of it?     In Hindu religion it is stated that after 80 crore births as animals, plants or insects, you finally take the form of a human but for what? To study my whole life and then give up trying?     To always be in stress and worry about my future? I didn&

Kepler : The search for a second Earth

The above image looks fascinating doesn't it. You can see water, green lands, clouds and it would have an atmosphere. Just like our Earth but what if I were to tell you that this palnet is not Earth!

Hello I am Visarg acharya reporting from my house in the country of India. Today's post is about space! Isn't that wonderful :-) today's post is about the search for a second Earth.

In the year of 2007, NASA launched a space observatory in space named Kepler telescope just like HST (i.e Hubble Space Telescope). But its objective was to find a planet which would be a lookalike to Earth. A planet that can support life. We thought that it would merely give a result around 10 planets but we found them around every corner! This gave me some questions.

  • How did they found the planet?
Ans - Every planet revolves around a star and when the planet would pass in front of the star there would be some blockage of light thet kepler would recieve and by this kepler finds that there is a planet.
  •   How did they found out that the planet is suitable?

Ans -  They found out by hearing it. It was proved that the greater a star, the greater the reactivity it causes and therefore the planets revolving it would be in grave danger or would be in suitable condition. NASA's  Gran Telescopio Canarias observatory listened to the voices of the star and therefore found out their size. And would guess if that planet is suitable or not.

  • How did they found out that the planet has atmosphere?

Ans- They found out by using Spectrums. As the atmosphere of any plante would have white light or colourless, the star's ray would hit on the atmosphere the white light would get divided into seven colours and each particular colour indicates a particular element.
